Food Safety Essentials has its roots in the non-profit world! The President & CEO, Tanya Stewart, first began training soup kitchens, shelters, daycares, and other non-profits in keeping food safe for their clients when the City of Philadelphia began to enforce food safety regulations among non-profit agencies. Her 16-hour training started as 4-hour/4-week sessions where she would spend intense time communicating this somewhat complex subject to “volunteers feeding the hungry.” During this time, her passion for the field grew, and her dedication to ensuring every student had a thorough understanding of the subject was born.
Twelve years later, this passion for food safety training was carried over into her company with the creation of “Food Safety Essentials, LLC.” Established in 2006, this privately owned food safety company continues to bring the same personal service and dedication to each client served. Her training is centered around the concept that each student learns uniquely, and she can cater her private sessions to meet any learning need. She delivers her information in interactive and easy-to-understand formats using a combination of PowerPoint, DVDs, hands-on demonstrations, and visual aids to keep the student engaged from beginning to end.
If you are a business serving food and/or beverages, please consider Food Safety Essentials as your resource for food safety training.
